    Hi everyone at singletrack,
My riding buddy Jaime came off his bike and sustained a life-changing spinal injury during lockdown v1. (It was just a horrible freak accident on an easy trail.)
He’s finally made it out of hospital after a long time and he now needs support to sort his house out a bit to make it liveable with his injuries.

If you can help at all that’d be amazing. He has a justgiving page set up.
    https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/jamiel-01

You might know Jaime from marshalling at ardrock/ardmoors and you might have seen his YouTube videos as middle aged MTbiker

Anyway, he’s a relentlessly positive dude, if you can help him and his family just a little bit that’d be amazing.

    Thanks 🙏

Donated. Some experience of spinal injury myself. He’ll be aware but there’s a supportive community out there. The Back Up Trust has made a big difference to many in similar situations. And Jamie seems to have the kind of attitude shown by many spinally injured folk I’ve met who have gone on to do the most inspiring of things.

    Stickied.

I’ll donate later when I get home.

I lasted about 30 seconds into that video. 😢

Popped a few quid in. As others have said, could happen to us all, must be tough on his family too. Shut me up moaning about my shoulder that I hurt in a stupid little fall back in September… 🙂

Jaime has written a Facebook post as well so any shares on FB just to spread the word would be amazing too

    Thanks 🙏

Whenever I see these kind of posts it really strikes home how quickly things can change & how amazingly positive people manage to be about whatever circumstance they find themselves in.

I wish Jaime a strong continued recovery & all the best for him & his family.

Thanks for the shares and all donations. Every donation makes a big difference. 😊
Every little bit we can raise is going to help Jaime and his family.

And yes, his Mum & Dad decided to spell his name in an interesting way.
    Everyone spells it wrong 😄
