Bit of an oldie GPS issue, I`ve had this Bryton Rider 20 and really like its long battery life and simplicity. After getting it wet slightly not badly it is now not being recognised when I plug it into my pc via the native connector which you get with it (the only way it can be connected) it still works fine apart from this and is charging when it is plugged in but not letting you access the files via the bryton bridge software. They look very sealed and not user friendly to be opened for any further inspection cleaning etc. Has anyone had this issue before and managed to solve it, any help appreciated.
I’m sure you’ve done this already but if not, give the contacts on the back of the unit a good clean as that really mucks up the usb connection if there’s any dirt on them.
It's only a matter of time before it stops charging too. They pop apart relatively easily and can be brought back to life for a while but don't last. A XOSS G will do everything the Bryton does, but with a proper micro USB charge port and bluetooth connection to upload data, for about £25
