There’s a big trail day coming up next Saturday on the Timberland Trail in 50 Acre Wood. Despite myself and the other volunteers’ best efforts it seems that every winter some of the trail over there turns into an unrideable slop. So next Saturday we’re having a proper blitz on it!

We’ll be hiring a power barrow, getting as many people out as possible and surfacing as many of the bad sections as we can. UCI and Olympic course builder Phil Saxena is coming along to lend his expertise, and there will be cakes, laughs and I might see if I can scrounge a few prizes to raffle too. If you come to just one trail day this year, make it this one!
