Just quickly going back to England…

Germany lost the final of the 1966 world cup to us, decided they never wanted that to happen again & sorted it.

Germany were eliminated after finishing 4th (behind us) at the group stage of Euro 2000. Again they said this isn’t good enough & sorted it.

England – the media say this isn’t good enough, the FA agree, they promise sweeping changes, about all that happens is the top brass probably get a pay rise. We roll forward 4 years, the same thing happens again.

I reckon playing with 5 Liverpool players in our squad gave Uruguay more of an advantage as he trains & plays with them every week, he knows everything about them & give the coaching staff an insight. We knew about him, & maybe Cavanni(spelling?). It’s reminded me a bit of when Ronaldo got Rooney sent off in that game against Portugal, he knew exactly what to do to take him out of the game. Dirty cheating foreigners… 😉
