edit: if I am then I can get to 1971 in legal tender. Interestingly the Royal mint must replace 20p coins quite often and all these seem to pretty new.

oddly enough no, dating’s based on the pictures on the coin. I checked to make sure she wasn’t ripped off with a dude I went to school with, who is an ultra nerdy coin dealer.

How about a George 3rd 1770 half penny found recently in the road dug up between Buckden and Hubberholme in the dales.Was walking out with my Mum and her eagle eye spotted it.
