I'm looking for a boost specific chainring to go on some atlas cranks, (1x11) something like this:

https://www.competitivecyclist.com/absolute-black-race-face-oval-cinch-boost-direct-mount-traction-chainring

or this : http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/oneup-components-narrow-wide-cinch-boost-oval-chainring/rp-prod154615

but every UK retailer/website seems to out of stock - what am I missing? are people using standard offset rings successfully?

thanks, andy

I used a works components 32t oval cinch ring for my aeffect cranks on a boost bike and everything works well.
I have no idea if they're boost specific however.

Cheers all,

they are to go on an atlas chainset (2017 five)

Superstar only seem to do a standard offset : http://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/raptor-chainring-raceface-direct-mount-narrow-wide.htm

Works components say that their ring has a 50mm chainline - isn't boost supposed to be more like 53mm?.....but I guess it works for you mintyjim http://www.workscomponents.co.uk/works-components-oval-narrow-wide-chainring---raceface-cinch-fitment-1090-p.asp

I saw the blackspire one creagbhan linked to - seems to be the only one chain reaction say works with boost spacing, but I just wanted to make sure!

seems like a lot of rings will work but I didnt want to have to buy one to find out
thanks fellas

Raceface rings use 51mm chainline so only 1mm off the 52mm most boost specific rings use. I'd just use a standard raceface ring.

If you don't need maximum tyre/chain clearance (i.e. you are running 3"tyres) then a non-Boost crank/ring will work fine with a Boost hub.

If you are looking for a 34 tooth oval chainring then I have a absolute black oval that I fitted but cannot use as its too close too the chain stay.

Rick - thanks for the offer but my legs need something smaller (30 round/32oval)!

TBH I don't know exactly what the difference is, but, flipping the ring on my aeffect crank moved it out a good bit, it's an old trick for fatbikes but it'll do the same on any raceface crank.

I'm using standard AB non boost cinch chainring with Boost frame Cotic Flare Max so it may be the case that you can run a non boost version

1. Don't worry about Boost/non-Boost. Do you need clearance off the tyre or chain stay? If so, you need Boost. If not, you don't and you'll get a better chain line with standard stuff.

2. If you need a cinch compatible chainring try the absolute black oval. I'm loving mine and will be switching all bikes to them. If you don't like the oval, they'll swap if for a round one. You can't lose.
