I currently have some Rapha cargo bib tights (and shorts) (I know they're expensive, but I like them). They're good for me because of their cargo pockets which are great. Phone on one side, debit card and face mask on the other.
I'm preparing for winter rides, and would like another pair, but perhaps from another manufacturer. I've looked at quite a few pairs of tights, some look good but I can't find any with pockets.
Is anyone aware of any tights with similar pockets, not to carry huge amounts, but just somewhere where I can store my phone for easy access.

For road use just put your phone in a jersey pocket?

i can’t think of any other manufacturers that have joined in the fad and made a bib long with pockets

as above jersey pockets are very handy or wear your cargo bib shorts with leg warmers, or under/over a chamois free bib long

Had a conversation with a mate yesterday and we were agreed that if it didn't fit in jersey pockets, or on your bike somewhere, you probably shouldn't be carrying it

Don't Specialized do shorts with storage (probably called SWAT). I assume they would do bib tights with the same?

Castelli sorpasso. Wonderfully comfortable and warm for anything above zero. Typical Italian sizing so go one larger.

I've never actually use the pockets on these but they do have them.

I have a pair of Castelli Nanoflex without pad. They go over my usual bibshorts which means I can get away with only one pair.

How important is the roadie Lycra look to you? If not the what about MTB shorts? Got a few pairs of fairly tight fitting Mtb shorts with plenty of pockets. Where bibs or padded knickers underneath. Tight enough so they’re not flappy or hamper your comfort or performance, and comfy due to padded shorts (or long tights) underneath.

I’ve never got the pockets on Lycra thing ! Last place I’d want stuff moving around/rubbing 🤔

Jersey pockets do the job just fine

Me too, but I'm the same with baggies. The only thing I stick in the pockets is a hankie.

I agree with the above - jersey pockets for phone, mini jacket and food, tools in the saddlebag

PlanetX padless bibs, inexpensive and good.

I love my Specialized SWAT bibs with pockets for MTBing, but they have back pockets which don't really help if you're already wearing a roady top with back pockets (I wouldn't want to use both sets of pockets together). The thigh pockets are just about OK for a phone or gel or something but I wouldn't want anything spiky / bulky in there. It sounds like you know that already.

tools in the saddlebag

Monster. Cut up bidon or nothing, please.

I stuff everything in my back pockets. Saddlebags ruin the clean lines of the bike...

I quite like my madison flux capacity shorts, but they are liners rather than roadie outers.

I fancy some of the leg pocket / cargo shorts as I don't like the tendency of the roadie jersey with stuff in to pull on my ample belly, better to have it tightly attached.

I use a small saddlebag. Bulging pockets ruin the clean lines of my back 😉
