    I know they are marmite but, Synchronicity by the Police is very good if you like that sort of thing.

    How about a new thread on bands that made their best album their ‘difficult’ second album. Not many bands last albums were their best, so this is a bit of a dead end.

    For starters:

    Lou Reed – Berlin.

    Comsat Angels – Sleep No More.

    Echo & the Bunnymen – Heaven up Here.
