Never understood the hate for Quantum of Solace, great action scenes, a continuation of the previous story line, a relevant plot and believable villain(s).
Far better than the overblown Skyfall.

Another for QoS here. It was a very pure Bond I thought, distilled down to its most core elements. Didn’t understand the hate. I think better film than Skyfall, but I do think Skyfall looks better.

    Dog Soldiers.

Clearly made for a budget of about £3.99.

    Howard the Duck.
(reminded of it on seeing said character fleetingly in Guardians of the Galaxy.)

(QoS had script input from Daniel Craig…)

How on Earth is Bladerunner “badly slated”?

    Howard the Duck.

Just what I was about to say.

People who hate Napoleon Dynamite seem to really hate it.

    I love it.

Was “Kick Ass” 😀 (Ninja edit!) slated? Brilliant film. I thought it was well liked by critics.

Barnyard: Animated film which got panned and but me and my kid loved it. Uncontrollable laughter in some scenes.

Heaven’s Gate is one of my favourite films.

Kick Ass was well reviewed. The sequel wasn’t.

    Waterworld
    The Postman
I’d go as far as saying I love them I’m always enjoy them when they are on.

The Postman is amazing. I love it when they unveil the statue of Kevin Costner at the end to commemorate him saving humanity. Waterworld not so much.

My wife and I are big fans of ‘golden era’ Steven Seagal: Hard To Kill, Marked For Death, Under Siege, On Deadly Ground etc

To be fair to Grum: as a fan of the film, I have ‘lived’ much of Napoleon Dynamite: class geek, industrial-prescription specs, hopeless with wimmin, regularly crash whilst jumping my bike, etc etc. 8)

I am, of course, an amazing dancer.

S’alright – neither am I, most of the time. 😳

(But if you’re into live action role-play of ‘golden era’ Steven Seagal films, feel free to post the photos… we’re all friends here).

Starship Troopers. (I imagine that got slated) Although I think you have to be familiar with Heinlein’s militaristic rantings in the original novel to appreciate it fully.

Recent: Hot Tub Time Machine. I love that film.

Old: Have to agree with the Highlander one, I grew up thinking it was frigging awesome, still sthink it’s awesome and in adulthood am horrified to find that it is/was repeatedly slated by critics.

8 Million Ways to Die. Certainly not Hal Ashby’s finest hour, but Bridges and Arquette work well together and Andy Garcia’s ‘baddy’ is quietly menacing. The music’s great too.
