Starship Troopers. (I imagine that got slated)

Not so much I don’t think. Good film though!
Demolition Man is a brilliant Stallone film, was always pleased to see it appear in the TV schedules.
Waterworld and The Postman are nowhere near as bad as they’re made out to be IMO- certainly no worse than any number of other films around the same time that people don’t fall over themselves to slate. More to do with the “let’s all hate on Kevin Costner” bandwagon at the time.

For some reason I really liked Hard Rain, with Morgan Freeman and Christian Slater, although it didn’t do too well I don’t think.

Amazed because people remember it, almost 30 years later?
It certainly got roasted on reception, to justify inclusion here, and as per Wiki, this year the LA Times listed the film as one of the costliest box office flops of all time.

You know there’s a new Howard the Duck coming? End of Guardians of the Galaxy previewed it.

I think they’ve explicitly said that there won’t be a new howard the duck film – at least in the short term – they just thought that was a funny inclusion.

    edit:

“I’ll be honest with you, I was just talking about it with my assistant right now. It’s possible Howard could reappear as more of a character in the Marvel Universe. But if people think that’s going to lead to a Howard The Duck movie, that’s probably not going to happen in the next four years. Who knows after that?”

Don’t Expect A Howard The Duck Movie From Marvel Any Time Soon

I really enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd Matrix films. Yes, I am aware that I should be ashamed of myself for this

Fair enough! Their humour was lost on me and I cant say Its the sort of thing I’d investigate further 🙂

Loads that have been slated I have made an effort to watch. Most recent was The Lone Ranger which I have no idea why it was slated so much. Maybe a bit long but Enjoyable.

I like films like Kickboxer and AWOL. I know they’re pants, but I still really enjoy them.

I like Demolition man too….and Cliffhanger.

I’ve enjoyed all of the Transformers films too.

Freddie Got Fingered is one of the worst films ever though….it’s just not funny.

I’ve enjoyed all of the Transformers films too.

The problem I’ve got with the Transformers films is that I always felt that inside there was a good movie trying to get out.

Michael Bay’s done the latest TMNT film, this leaves me with something of a quandary.

transformers.all of them as basically I can hear them and as above some great scenes and ideas but also a undercurrent and overt sexism and racism

John Carter of Mars, I read the book at ten and is still there as a fav, lots of ideas stolen from the book and appear on films so it felt like JCM was rehashing rather than being an originator.

Armageddon………..oh why but still watch it

    George of the Jungle……….so silly

there are loads of films slated but are great later

    Tremors
    arnies predator, critics hated it

    A few +1s here.

    Tank Girl. Spot on.
Alien: Resurrection. Guess you need to have seen City of Lost Children etc. to fully ‘get’ it.
A Life Less Ordinary. Fantastic film. Up with Danny Boyle’s best.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Quite possibly the best film ever made (certainly top 5), but not sure most critics got it.
