…. I "let slip" the location of some ace trails I found this weekend….
Seriously though, it's great what you can find while just exploring a new area. I really need a return visit to work out what the best loops are though as I suspect I was coming to some bits of track the wrong way round.
Mmm… I've got the choice of just passing through Aviemore on Saturday en route back down to Fort William, or staying there for a couple of days and riding everything I can find, choice choices! 😀
The wee trails I found were in Inshriach Forest. I approached them from Lagganlia (on the Glen Feshie Road) and a glance at the OS 1:25k map will give you some insight. As Martin points out, that shot of mine is taken above a wee cliff. It's more obvious in this one…
Around NH867064 I think
As for GPX/MMO files, I'm afraid not. I didn't have a GPS with me and I was really just doing some exploring, dodging up and down little singletrack trails as I found them, I got totally lost at one point.
The trail that RD posted is the "new" footpath that climbs from the Heron Field in Glenmore up to the Coire Cas car park. It's a fairly good path (better as a descent) but broken up with some obvious bike-spoilers.

Booooo hisss! 😕
EDIT: I'm going to be in the Burgh tomorrow with an hour to kill and so I'll be popping in to your work to see if this world famous bikechain shop is as good as its cracked up to be!
