As title really. I'm after replacing my old tatty pairs. But they're expensive aren't they. So looking for any deals. Mostly road riding, but a mix of mtb also.

The Alpkit Rhythem Elite seem great value, but can't find any reviews on them.

Top candidates so far...
Lusso pro gel at £63
dhb classic at £47.50
dhb aeron at £71

A whole variety of Castellis on Probikekit at half price. Watch out though, in my experience they come up a size small. I'm an XL compared to an L in Rapha, Endura etc

I just got some Peloton shorts from Sundried.com. v comfy, so much so i just ordered two more pairs. Normally £50, i found a discount code online which gave 50% off - try GRANGER or FITPIXIE, I've used both and both worked for me. I've no association with them, just genuinely impressed

I have a pair of alpkit tights and whilst they are pretty warm I’ve found the pad pretty stiff and uncomfortable to be honest . I have a pair of Howie’s which are very good but not sure if you can get them anymore . My next ones will probably be dhb .

Nice one, ta for the info.

Good call on the Sundried.

It's a shame, i find all the Howies kit I really like gets discontinued. Seems weird.

recently bought a pair from Go Outdoors, their house brand and they are very good, a good fit and the mesh for the straps means they are not too sweaty

I find Galibier good value and nicely made.

The Morvelo bibs are excellent. Really good chamois, nicely made. Their online size thing seems way out though, so I'd take that with a pinch of salt. I'm normally medium, I wear medium in Morvelo with a perfect fit, their question thing suggests XL...

Also, DHB Aeron Pro are really decent, no-nonsense options. The waist version work well under baggies for mountain biking too.

quite like the dab apron although there is a hint of awkward bunching - which isn't really a problem but find bit irritating.

Morevelo, Rapha sizing I find I have to go at least one and often 2 sizes up - I'd say I was a medium (30" waist) in many scenarios, I'm often a XL. Problem (for me I think) is the assumption that if you're a 30" waist then your legs are similarly spindly. They're not..
