I keep my bikes in the cellar which is a bit damp and I’ve noticed my road bike is developing spots of mildew on the bar tape.

anyone any ideas how to reduce or stop this?

    thanks

But a mouldy girlfriend is definitely no fun!

Wipe down with a solution of a few drops of Tea Tree oil in 400-500ml of water.

But ideally I would get the bikes out of there.

the bikes are perfectly fine in the cellar, no need to move them, I just need to up my maintenance a bit

    You’ll be wanting a fungicide. Mildew’s a fungus, not a bacteria.
