Is it just me who sees a review of a bike and is initially looking forward to reading it but then realises that it is another ebike review and just sighs with disappointment.

Only as disappointing as when you read a thread to discover it's going to turn into another argument between whether ebikes are acceptable or not. Yawwwwwwwn.

Yes, (or any type of bike I'm not interested in) A bit like back in my early teens watching the whole of Top of the Pops only to find they only had groups I didn't like that week ☹️ Life is really tough sometimes ☹️☹️

@possum-hunter You know, you can turn off the Charged channel if you go to your account, so you won't be given false hopes of bike reviews you want to read? But maybe it's like olives, or asparagus, and if you keep trying them one day you'll realise they're great, but don't have to be in every meal?

Illustrative how much the technology has come on that you don't know by looking at it that it's an ebike though.

Indeed, I was not being too serious.
They are a good thing but at the moment I have no desire to ride one, maybe one day, who knows 😊

He'll be pissed off when he finds out there's hundreds of channels full of crap on his TV, and only 2 or 3 of them with any content ever worth watching! 🤷🏻‍♂️🤫

I try telling a friend this about Coriander, but she's Adam Ant that she'll never let it pass her lips. She's basically ruling out a whole genre of food, the maniac.

But yes, It's the same reason I don't look at road bike reviews Op. Not interested, and that's fine.

I think there’s a genetic thing with coriander where it does actually taste like soap to some people.

I got told (didn't verify) it also relates to quinoa. That is the same people dislike coriander dislike "the taste" of quinoa. (I struggle to say it has much of any taste but apparently it's an unpleasant one for some people)

True I know. I used to detest it as a kid but grew to love it.

(Coriander, not eebs)

I used to love reading bike reviews but now I rarely get past a quick look at a picture and a realisation that yet again it wasn't meant for me. Two things that are an immediate turn off for me.

ebikes. Nothing against them in principle. If you want one that's fine by me. But it's not just that I don't want one it's that they are almost the opposite of everything I enjoy about cycling.

grey bikes, including black and white which are just shades of grey. Again, if that's your thing then fine, but the world is grey enough at the moment, I don't want my toys to be grey too?
