I would like to share with you all.

I am cack handed when it comes to maintenance, diy etc so of course when I changed my BB on Tuesday night, I rounded the bolt that secures the non-drive side crank arm onto the spindle.

However last night I successfully hammered a T40 torx bit into the mangled bolt and got it out! Hooray.

I am now sacking off these rubbish shimano hex bolts and have ordered some M5 x 16mm Torx bolts.

I thank you all for your attention.

Problem was probably not the Shimano hex bolts at fault but over tightened and a poor fitting tool.
