Thursday evening was very quiet, in fact i was pretty damn alone, thought for a moment the tox had been raided by the anti deer brigade as the usual herds weren’t to be seen..
But came across a bold little fox who calmly walked towards then past me no more than 6 metres from me, it stopped to munch some bugs, posed for a bit and pootled off away from me.
I then went to look for Stag antlers on a nearby rubbing post but found some rarely noted plants.
And was treated to a display from the resident peregrine, it glided in towards me, turned sharply as it did so, i noticed a bird in path, the talons came out and in a flash the bird was caught and taken away, food for it’s babies i hope. (this happened all to quick for pics)
