Friend has asked me to choose him a bike. It'll be mostly used to ride in to distant scottish mountains (to walkup them). Wheel size negotiable.

Genesis io id was a great buy at £670. I've been very pleased with mine. The 8 speed will get you up some very steep hills. Maintenance is optional too.
