    Banshee Spitfire?

not suitable for what jedi has in mind.
a rune fits the bill though, they make an ace mini-dh bike with angled headset cups and a coil shock

Commncal mini-dh? Old rockies RM6 or RM7 likes? Same old kona stinkies?
To be honest with you, I am not sure a lot of 5-6″ bikes are designed with the idea of 15th drops (5 m is a lot) nowadays.

    si. what travel is that?

Around 7″, though they are supposed to pedal like a much shorter travel bike.

Nomad would do the job. 160mm travel, will take up to 180mm fork, tapered head tube etc. Can’t testify for the 15′ drop but I can testify that they do singletrack well and climb almost as well as my LT2. Seen quite a few of the old ones being used in the Scottish downhill series so obviously stand up to some serious battering

Tazer VP, only 3.25″-4″ travel though
    Tracer VP
    Nomad
    Heckler

Nicolai Helius AC – 5 year frame warranty including for racing is pretty good. Very tough frames.

As a matter of interest, what’s the problem with the bottlerocket?

cant see a heckler standing up to the abuse either.

But a new Bottlerocket wouldn’t be battered would it.

Intense ss or a corsair Koenig perhaps

The mountain cycles battery was going really cheap earlier this year but not sure if they are still available

Yeah, reckon a Slopestyle would fit the bill – decent range of sizes too. The MC Battery is a cracking little frame but very short.

    Scott Voltage.
Mine is ace, and a good price too.

the short frame voltage felt horrid but bushwacked’s long frame was rad. none left though.

The Scott Volatge FR and available in frame only:

There was a good write up in Dirt a few issues back.

I have nothing useful to add, I just liked the use of “horrid” and “rad” within the same sentence.

Mine is long and is good for everything, needed a bigger cassette for xc though, would be nice with a single front and 10 speed rear , 2011 bikes should be available soon.

I’m looking at a similar sort of frame (not for 15ft drops tho, 5-6ft max) i looked at the Cove Gspot but the rear air shock put me off a bit, i’m debating an Ellesworth Moment 6 inch travel can be built up to just over 30lbs or a lot more robust, i had go on my mates at Inners in the summer, it climbs really well and was excellent on the descents, they have some good offers on frame and fork combinations at the moment at Freeborn.

My other mate has just got an Intense Slope Style, ridding position is spot on you really sit into the bike and not perched on top, the only thing you can’t fit a front mech so a little limited with the gears

    Cheers

the new g spot is on my list. intense have all broke/cracked at herts. in fact only norco have never busted there 🙂

Intense Uzzi maybe? More or less the same frame as the SS, but less travel and a bit easier to pedal.

EDIT: obviously I typed that before I read your next post.

    Froggy/spicy

MWAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH you kinda missed the 15 foot drops me think

Why? Spicy is 160mm and the froggy 180mm, are they not all that then? Thought they were supposed to be all gnarlyradcore innit’ are they breaky or just crap?
Not tried either tbh but thought they’d be worth a look
