Would you use a 1.5 to 2.3 inch tube in a 2.4″ High Roller?

It seems that inner tubes have a cross over around the 2.3″ mark, ie before you move up to a much bigger DH and heavier type tube.

Plus, I’m looking for some deals on 10 packs of tubes if anyone knows of any?

    cheers

I run a Bonty 2.5″ DH tube in my 3.8″ tyres. It’s fine.

    I’m actually running a 24″ tube in a 26″ tyre just now.

You do realise butyl tubes stretch?

It’ll be fine but CRC have deals on tubes in this overlap. Ten 2.1-2.6 tubes for £24.99 H E R E!

I use these tubes, they’re great. Butyl which is better than standard rubber but they do have slightly unattractive green caps. £2.49 a tube with postage is not to be sniffed at!

    Let’s blow sh*t up!

It’ll be fine. Although I tend to fine using a smaller tube in a bigger volume tyre can lead to more punctures, as the rubber is thinner to fill the larger volume tyre.

If it explodes (which it almost certainly will) it’ll rip you in half. If you’re lucky.
