Sorry!😐

Monday's Mountain Massif TT https://www.zwift.com/events/view/2093516

Thinking of doing this tomorrow but is that route length right? Should be about 30k-ish according to Google?

Not 12k...?

Cheers guys.

I finally got around to suffering this event last Monday, route length is right, the finish line is at the top of the radio tower "bonus climb."

https://zwiftpower.com/events.php?zid=2078683

If you have them or can buy them, grab the Specialized Tarmac Pro and the Enve 4.4 wheels (unless you have won the Millsteins from the wheel of fortune at the top of Alpe Du Zwift).

Thanks!

Just bought the tarmac pro.👍

Did you mean Enve 2.2's or the 3.4's?

Can't find a 4.4?

No Millsteins just gloves so far. Got to start climbing that mountain more I think.😐

Edit: 37:40! I don't think I'll be up there quite as far as that.lol

Oops, missed that typo when proof reading after posting! Enve 3.4s mate.

If/when you're used to flat TTs on courses like Tempus Fugit, this Mountain 8 course is tricky to judge with that flat run in plus a few dips along the long climb, not to mention the short stretch of ~17% on the bonus climb.

Good luck if you give it a go tomorrow!

Ah, I see, all equipped, cheers!

Yeah, im on it tomorrow. Want to improve my climbing and also want the Tron....eventually.

Did you swap bikes,it mentions that in the description but it's not something I normally do. I'm not in it to win it (I wish), just to battle myself and "those guys" just in front/behind me on the climb.

Did the Surrey Hills a couple of days back, totally understated it, 986m with a guy stalking me all they way...

Hardest I've pushed myself on Zwift for a long time. I was actually a little emotional when I crossed the finish line.😂

I wouldn't bother with the bike swap..just something else to worry about.

That Surrey hills route is the last race to the ZRL league this Tuesday. I'm oddly looking forward to it. Hopefully a lot of riders are going to blow up before the end.

I didn't bike swap, due to joining late I stuck with what I had from my previous session, Canyon TT bike and aero wheels iirc. I also wasn't so bothered by my time, more about a 20min+ effort.

Well, bike swap too me over 20 seconds I think so not sure it was worth it.Lol

Caught 2 riders on the kom, one within 300 metres of the top which I was chuffed about. Usually it's me being caught. Ok, he's nearly 30 years older than me but still.😉

I think, for the first time ever, I got a Gold on Zpower... NOT because there were only 3 of us to finish which is usually how it happens! Yay for me.

Nice one, I did wonder how you would do on the radio tower climb, early on it I saw your cadence steadily drop to ~40rpm! 😮

I felt nowhere near as good as last week and had to use my 34/34 lowest gear an awful lot on 7%+ gradient slopes to try and keep my cadence 80+, but at times I really struggled and thought about quitting once I'd reached the radio tower climb. But I finished the event, it's all good practice for hopefully tackling my first outdoor cat2 next month, Road To Hell https://www.strava.com/segments/8748450

Haha, yeah, I bet I know exactly what I was doing at that point. I'd have been out of the saddle just churning over as when I'm out of the saddle I can't hold much of a higher cadence as my quads just give up the ghost. Usually I'm a spinner up hill which is lucky as the cx bike on the trainer has a granny ring and I've an mtb cassette on the back too.

Good luck with the irl event mate!👍
