Lol rankings is still a farce.

Won C again, small field of 6.

-2 points!

How do I lose 2 points by winning?

I thought the point of Cycligent's Rankings were to provide a better comparison of each other than the frankly pointless category limits.

So doesn't it forecast you an overall finishing percentage and then give you + or - points depending on where you finished relatively??
It doesn't recognise cats as such because it's designed to spercede them?

That may be totally wrong- it was ages ago I read about it.

I had a rest day today and ended up doing the WBR race this morning. I knew before i started i didnt have the mental capacity to ride the pain. I ended up going solo for most of the race and got a silver trophy in cat B, it was a pretty small field. My stats were marginally below recent efforts so i think i need to rest tomorrow...........may be.

Don't know really CH. Just had a chat on live chat, she seemed just as confused as me as to why.

It's still a win, so I'm all good. My C domination continues lol

My power was the same on my last 2 races, so it's not like I'm sandbagging etc

Lol! Except you are because it's FTP/kg not best 20 min race power ๐Ÿ˜‰

But as everyone else hangs in until they get pushed- I would too!!

So yeah, mass start races are considered one race. You got -2 for finishing below your forecast I assume.

Points a numeric score, by Race Class, that represents a racer's race performance relative to other racers' race performance.

Each Racer has Points for each Race Class for which they have competed in and met the minimum participation requirements in the form of a numeric score.

Points are computed by finishing positioning and strength of field and as such form a relative ranking of Racers. See Points below for a full description of how Points are calculated.

Minimum Participation Requirements (MPR for short) โ€“ a Racer must compete in a minimum of three Races of a given Race Class to be scored and placed in a Division.

Strength of Field (SOF for short) โ€“ the arithmetic mean (average) of the Racers participating in a Race who started together (splits in a Split Event are considered separate Races).

Thinking about WBR- do you have to put a Cat title in your name? Just wondering how you knew it was B riders getting away??

You don't have to, but many do.

I am not sure how wbr allocates cats, I think its done via power, some guy seems to have saved as a C but its put him in B. Wbr don't seem to DQ, just move you up, which is much fairer.

Ah I see. So I apologise then- if you didn't have to declare C but it's just put you there then that's different ๐Ÿ™‚

TFC races are mass start but you have to change to the correct tag beforehand.

No need for apology, I'm racing C as long as I can.
I seem to have peaked power wise now, I am hitting 290w give or take in most rides as my Strava weighted power, but its been static now for a while, I don't seem to be improving but I'm also not losing any power either.
The second base race against a load of Cs showed me I'm a C and in all other events I'd generally be in the last few in B. Today for example I'd have been 2nd last.

Anyway, day off tomorrow.

boody hell - I've just been reading that cycligent overview ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

(assuming they've got it right) I quite like the idea of ranking everybody on points like that. Could then assign us each a letter or a % score or something, individualised for each race to give an idea of how well everyone should do (they've already subdivided into flat vs hilly etc, so it could even allow for that aspect of the race). Would be better than simple power cats IMO as it would account for tactics n'shit too

Yes so the plan would be for race organisers to start categorising by division. So I'd race Division 2 and should get close racing regardless of what Cat their w/kg is currently forcing them to race.

But ironically, their London qualifier is old fashioned Cats ๐Ÿ˜†

Doesn't matter if your DCBA cats, each rider brings points to the race, to give a pool of points. You're given a projected place in the entire field based off current points/performance, finish higher then you're awarded further points. Finish lower you lose points. Top 3 finishers get bonus points (otherwise it wouldn't be worth their while).

I'm currently projected to move up to the elites group at the end of the month (when they promote/demote riders).

I wouldn't bother watching me, I'm expecting to be dropped on the first climb. I hate the hilly route!!

Cycling- the art of playing races down beforehand and making excuses afterwards ๐Ÿ˜†

Go get em Tiger! Just hold that lead group at all costs and out sprint everyone- simple! ( as I keep getting told ๐Ÿ˜€ )

Zwift racing is much harder than real world for keeping with the bunch. Plus in the real world you can hear people groaning as you attack... ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Its my rest day today but i am toying with the idea of a nice gentle spin session just so i can see the race unfold.
I take it all the top guys are verified and cant digitally enhance their figures?

Everyone registered- Nath can tell you about he process.
But it would be quite funny if they won a place at the final in London and some 25st guy turned up with an electric drill ๐Ÿ˜†

I haven't actually checked but I assume it's being broadcast on Twitch

Nath's tip, Timmis - there was a pro racer a while ago with that name. Wonder if it's him (or his offspring)

Is the orange tick next to his name something significant ?
