Velosolutions’ Vorld app measures pump track lap times with precision

Vorld brings riders together, counts their laps, measures their times, awards points and prizes.

Press Release:

On May 1st, a new era begins on Velosolutions Pump Tracks

Nine years ago, Velosolutions first set out to build an app capable of measuring lap times with precision – without requiring riders to buy or use a transponder.

Velosolutions x PumpforPeace in Nepal.

The Vorld Gate is already installed on more than 200 Velosolutions Pump Tracks in 26 countries, with more being added every week. On activated tracks, riders can earn points by placing on daily and monthly leaderboards. Rankings are based both on lap times and total laps ridden. Since points are awarded every day, it pays off to ride often – speed is good, but showing up often is better.

The more points you collect, the higher you climb in the Vorld ranking.

Separate rankings are available across different age groups and disciplines: bike, skateboard, inline skates, scooter, and wheelchair – as well as an overall ranking for those who ride in more than one discipline.

How does it work?

Using the world map in the Vorld App, you can find the nearest Velosolutions Pump Track equipped with a Vorld Gate.

Once you arrive, simply activate the timer and start riding. As you cross the red Vorld line, the stopwatch starts automatically. Each correctly completed lap is recorded, and your lap time is measured when you cross the line again.

When you finish your session, you’ll see your total number of laps, your lap times, and your position in the current rankings. At the end of each day and month, points are awarded towards the Vorld ranking. A detailed explanation of how the ranking works can be found on vorld.com.

The Vorld Gate is invisibly embedded in the ground and requires neither power nor maintenance. Cities and clubs interested in activating their Velosolutions Pump Track for the Vorld App are invited to contact Velosolutions at info@velosolutions.com.

Download the Vorld App and start training now – because very soon, you’ll be able to win great prizes by collecting points. The App is available as a free download on both the App Store and Google Play.

Have fun!
