@weeksy. Yes at 7:39 stop, that gives your turbo plenty of time to spool down. So you'll be sat not pedalling for 8 minutes (or open the pairing screen and you can pedal while waiting). These events are basically setup as normal races with manually assigned start times after the events real start. If your still pedalling at 7.40 you'll launch as per normal even though your official start time is 7.48.

If you catch any other teams they are not allowed to stay in your draft and should back off enough to stop that happening. Same if you get caught, let the catching team go. There may well be some solo riders. If they get caught in your draft ask them to drop back. Mostly people are fine doing this when you explain why but occasionally you get an idiot who tags along.

We'll see you in the results as we are off at 6pm.
Did last week with the Club and have 6 of us tonight.
Latte team and hoping to finish higher up than with 4 last week. We did ok at 54 of 99 teams. Hope to be in top 25% tonight.

OK to confirm
- bumblebee jerseys and road bikes (NO TT bikes, we need to draft!)
- in the pen for the event start at 7.40
- no pedalling from 7.39 until our start time at 7.48
- communicate if we can on the STW discord channel ( https://discord.gg/UP6kv6). Let's use the general channel for text, plus push to talk in the STW voice channel). I can't type, others might not be able to talk, we'll just get by between us.
- time is taken 4th finisher - so we need to get at least 4 of us to the end

See you in the pen, or shortly before.

That was tough.
Raggy on the first 2 laps on the 2 main climbs at the top of the map so watch it. Powerful rider to the back to close it up.
About 54:10 to beat.

Push to talk means that the mic is only active when you push the button. This keeps background noise down.

54:47 I think.

That's not a course for me!!! Brutal at times

That was nails. Got a 10w ftp increase though.

Really I should have dropped as you would have been faster but I was thinking that wouldn't leave any leeway for a mechanical or Bluetooth dropout.

That was a hard course for a TTT though, can't wait for a flat one!

I don't think we'd have gone much faster mate, maybe 10s at the max. If you went I was the next weakest link and I didn't have that much more in me.

Yeah enjoyed that a lot. Sterling effort Ivan and as I understand it bunch size makes a bit of a difference in zwift so you may well have made us faster any how and even then, over most of an hour I'm not holding a lot more than that.

You actually put out more W than the rest of us so if anything it's is lot slowing you down by being too spiky!

Annnnnd that's the quote I'll choose to take away from it all...😉

Does anyone know where the results are published, I can't see anything on the wrtl website without creating an account?

In honesty an actual hill would be fine, those sharp but piddly little ones in tonight's course are horrid for keeping a group together on though as they're just not long enough to adjust your effort on properly.

Still I think we should be pleased with our week one effort. By my maths we won our pen with 55.04, so about 50 seconds up on second place.

Have to see how that pans out on the overall results but more than anything putting all 5 of us over the line within 7 seconds of each other is pretty good I reckon.

I got left behind after one lap. I watched the rest, impressive teamwork.
Interim results are up now.
Overall 55:04.964, 37.25kmh
General classification 227/359
Frappe category (for teams with best rider an A) 122/141
with 6 of 8 time zones completed, so the positions/totals will change slightly overnight.

Frappe category (for teams with best rider an A)

So you see Ivan, it was Newman made us look rubbish.

I got left behind after one lap

It looked like your connection dropped out something. You kept displaying 0w so we'd figured you had hardware issues or something.

It's a big event with an awful lot of work involved for the guys who run it to be fair.

Yeah not sure how much I helped by bumping us up the category!

Great ride today swarm. I'll remember to bring my kit next time.😁

Really enjoyed it. That last lap was hard! Nice for Dr P to show us the underpass where the magic happens...

Relaxing in the sun with a beer now. Cheers!

Nasty course that Astoria8, I did a 4-lap "Flying Cheetah" ITT there at end of Nov last year on Cervelo P5 TT frame (unsure of wheels, my guess is either Zipp 808s or Enve SES 3.4s), ~1hr15mins30secs of torture (not helped by only having two gears at time, I've had 22 again for the last month or so).

Hope those of you that took part had fun, hope to be able to join you soon, no closer to having new belt fitted on Direto after randomly waking at ~0300 and going back to bed ~0900-1300 while spending afternoon feeling like a zombie.

I think we all enjoyed it, certainly it sounded like folk were smiling through the pain!

Not a good course for the first time out together but that said it can only get better with practice I guess.

How we feeling about another TTT this Thurs?

Trying to plan out my riding in a vain attempt to bring structure to the week.

I'm up for it but wouldn't mind ducking out if people would prefer to ride in Latte rather than Frappe
