We will be in touch
Hi Guys & Girls
I've got to plan a stag do in York for the 7th and its a bit last min due to covid etc. I've already booked axe throwing and an escape room as activities during the day but now I'm after recommendations for a couple of places to eat and bars to go to. I've only been to York a few times so not sure where to start. The stag do will be on the tamer side of things, more 7 steady lads on a day out in York than lads lads lads.
Any recommendations would be brilliant.
Cheers
Can't go far wrong with any of these if you like proper beer.

17 hours ago, haha! I never read the chat side of the forum much.
The House of Trembling Madness
Evil Eye
The Maltings
Houseof Trembling Madness is good, decent food and good pints.
When you do to Evil Eye (which you must) get their Espresso Martini - it is out of this world.
Ohh, and if you are on an all-dayer (and the weather is good) you must go to the King's Arms and sit outside right on the River Ouse (bear in mind it's a Sam Smith's pub so some of the drinks are an acquired taste).

You realise that's like saying I'm spending a quiet week absorbing the local culture in magaluf don't you?
Fossgate is great street to go on...
At the top is the Fossgate Tavern - great beers and lovely rooms to lounge in on the top floor.
Next is Hop for great Pizza and good beer.
Fossgate Social - more good beer, nice garden, cool to sit outside.
Brew York - Brewery tap - lots of quality beer and lots of meat to eat,
Walmgate inn - just a nice pub staffed by nice people.
Which escape room are you doing?
Trembling madness and the Blue Bell
Blue Bell might be difficult for a stag night to get in.
