Hopefully one that someone who know how things work can answer.

I've been using Yahoo mail for many years. It's a bit rubbish of course but it is free and, well, I've got it.

One thing I liked was that it automatically created a new contact if you replied to an email. This is pretty handy as the next time you want to write to that person, Yahoo suggests the email address.

Unfortunately, a couple of months ago it stopped doing this useful thing. I still have all my contacts and there have been no other changes.

I've looked through all the settings to see if I accidentally toggled something while mashing the keyboard but I can't see a switch to turn the automatic creation of contact back on again.

Has anyone else had this issue, and knows how to fix it?

Thank you in advance!

Mine still suggests email addresses after I type a few letters, if that's what you mean?

Don't know about auto creating a contact though.

TBH, I thought it just suggested an email address but it does also create a contact. U can see the on my contact list (surprise, surprise!). So, it's a shame to have lost that functionality.

Is this using an email client or webmail? It might be your browser autofilling the addresses rather than yahoo if it’s the latter. Have you changed browser / settings / cleared caches?
