I have 2 headsets for my xbox one, steelseries elite prism and a corsair void which are both wired and had no problems with either. The steelseries has quite a short cable so this might help with your issue. The sound quality on both is excellent, for me the void is better for gameplay/chat and the steelseries is better for just gameplay.

I had a wireless steelseries headset for my xbox 360 and that too was excellent.

If i was going to get a wireless headset again i would look for steelseries again, they do come on offer occasionally.

He's broken three in three months and now you're not going to spend much, only £70? Strikes me as an opportunity to teach a life lesson in the value of things.

I'm still on the one that was bundled with the console 18 months ago.

We found one with a ribbon lead rather than a traditional round one, seems to help.

thanks for advice .

yes , sounds mad to buy him another one , but they were cheap ones , and we just moved countries so seems a bit unfair to take away his way of speaking to his friends in the uk .

The official one (with the comms block rather than the newer 3.5mm jack) is a flat cable. Whether that makes a difference to anything I don't know.

Are you looking for a gaming headset (full audio through headphones) or a chat headset (voice through one ear and game sound through the telly)? I'm talking about that latter, have no experience of the former.
