Pee straight out my window in the morning (after checking wind directions), win.
Nope, not for me.
Interestingly (or maybe not!) - I took nearly the same photo that you can see out of the window of the artists impression. Hope they don't start hanging houses off those stacks!

Think I'll wait for the mock tudor version
Don't see why not, I'm not sure that the proposal is actually constructable, I'd have thought that hanging the structure from the top of the cliff and supporting it from the face would be better - maybe some kind of pivot/ pin arrangement instead of those rather unlikely looking cantilevered beams. Actually properly hanging it from the top rather than cantilevering from the cliff would provide a much more dramatic structure and be more buildable.
Actually the "ground level" canopy cantilever looks a bit fanciful as well.
Oh, and there doesn't appear to be a lift pit.....
footflaps - best make sure your landlord hasn't just made a deal to keep the Empire out of there for good just before you show up.

Wrong Film!
It's from Oblivion.
Footflaps and a Tom Cruise clone, what a flat share that would be! ๐
I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus's garden in the shade

Beats last weeks grand designs couples efforts...
I would. I'd be less happy about parking my car and walking to the front door when it was a bit breezy and icy
Living on a cliff and driving a mini.
Not for me thanks.
You'd have a helluva job finding a window cleaner willing to take that on--mine won't even do conservatories
Is this to cope with overcrowding in the SE?
All the above are safer than mine.
Looks great in principle. I don't think the house itself would be particularly vertigo enducing. Wouldn't trust the cliff though. That bit of coast falls down a lot.

Heheheheheeeee......
whatdya thunk we do ?
I would, I wouldn't drive a mini though ๐
No one who has experienced an earthquake would live in a house like that. Bonkers
Be handy if you've got an old fridge or sofa to get rid of. Just wait for high tide.
Needs a more contemporary house design
How do they park on the drive?

No idea. It's not my design, pal!
I saw that concept on either Flipboard or Zite, and the whole thing looks like a disaster waiting to happen. That cliff-face is clearly very soft and subject to continual erosion, it'd probably fall off in six months.
And it's chuffing ugly.
I'm not sure as it's all that vertigo-inducing. It looks like it would be from outside, but from inside you've just got a nice sea view.
Some large rawl bolts and it'll be fine!
Mudsharks picture is an artist's impression of last weeks Grand Design house in 2 year's time.
would be an awesome view. stunning.
what happens upon returning from the pub ๐ฏ
not many street lights either
Last weeks Grand Design - bloody hell what lunacy....
There's a reason why cliffs are cliffs. It's because the sea is ripping into the land and grinding it to a pulp.
I can't imagine anyone would ever get permission to build such a house or that anyone would be stupid enough to live in it.
There would be no shortage of stupid people. They would be the very same ones who buy dilapidated farm buildings which used to house animals for outrageous prices, do them up, and live in them.
