My dad used to have one of these. The same colour in fact. It was just below a Skoda in the bullying hierarchy back when I was at school.

I vote for Ssangyong, the MPV - having seen one on the road I almost rammed it off the road to save my eyesight.

I'm with druidh on the Fiat Multipla. And when you see the people who own them, getting out, they always look at you , as if to say 'What? What have I done wrong?' They know exactly what they have done wrong.

And VERY controversially, the Alfa SZ.
Undeniably ugly, but so ugly it's bloody wonderful. I've always wanted one....

i quite like all those cars,
except woody's Ssangyong

the scorpion hasnt aged that badly,
and i really like the mulitpla, think it looks a bit futuristic

i like cars that aren't cool to be honest,

edit the bmw is horrible, that came in after as i was posting,
the alfa is brilliant

Second sc-xc's nomination of the X6 although I would call it just plain stupid and socially unacceptable rather than really ugly. My nominations

for those who are interested in my bid, It's called the Aurora "safety car"!

apparently:

"Father Juliano had a lifelong automotive avocation and studied art before entering the priesthood. His intent with the Aurora was to create the world's safest automobile atop a salvaged Buick chassis. The body was hand-laid fiberglass and the bubbilicious daylight openings are rendered in plexiglass. Despite his efforts, things did not go well for Fr. Juliano. The car's press unveiling was a disaster, and Juliano ultimately ended up in financial trouble and was forced to leave his order. The Aurora was given to a garage to settle a debt"

feel sorry for the garage? must have been desperate!

An old girlfriend had a coupe - it was insanely big, not really very fast, really not very economical, and getting it stuck at 11pm on a logging road in South Carolina was not the greatest evening of my life.

I actually like many of the cars on this thread. I suppose with the 70's cars like AMC pacer and Allegro they have passed from being ugly to being retro.

The ssangyong and the Pontiac though

Ugliest new car that really has no right to be ugly.

The Fiat Multipla literally makes me "lol" though, what a retarded looking machine that is.

I think the Aztek is universally recognised as the worst car design ever - making the Ford Edsel look like cinderella. IMHO, nothing gets uglierthan an Aztec, although I do get offened by looking at the Mk1 Citroen Picasso, a car that looks the same going backwards as it does forwards..

My Daewoo Tacuma that I used for transporting bikes/ dogs/ snowboards, isn't really the best looking 😆

[img] [/img]

But seeing as I got it at 5 years old with 40,000 miles and full service history for £1,500, I'm not complaining.

Volvo 262C - So weird/bad its good, still want one.
Scorpio - ugly as sin , but with 2.9 24v Cosworth engine is still the best car I have ever owned.
TR7 - ugliest car I have ever owned, in hearing aid beige and steel wheels - horrible.(Rover SD1 is still top of my Should-have-been-a-winner-but-was -made-by-BL-so-doomed-from-the-start list)
Vilest new car is still the current Beetle, with the new Mini a close second - a hideous parady of the original design.

djglover - I had a 14 GTL! But I thought it looked OK at the time...mine was a nice silver colour with alloy wheels. I kept on top of the rust so it was never too bad.

THIS is the ugliest car ever. The Mitsubishi i destroys all that came before it. (A bloke at work has one and I always get stuck behind the driving miss daisy gimp driving out of the car park, so I find it doubly irritating)

I mean, is the hideous piece of junk supposed to be CUTE??
