I tend to fit a few of those in during the day anyway working from home and I normally do all the cooking as well seen as I'm here.

Don't think I would fancy having the orders barked at me though, especially if its a busy day at work.

clean and mop floors - yes, if it's bike mess then seems fair, if not no
broadband, yes essential for stw
home insurance - yes, make sure bikes are suitably covered
cook, yes make all the stuff you like eg one massive chilli con carne/curry split into multiple bags
hob, no enforce the I cooked you clean rule
holiday, pack all your stuff and say there was no room for hers and/or put in stuff she hardly wears/cannot fit into, she'll never ask again

He he, someone "working from home" pretending they actually do a full days work ๐Ÿ™‚

Is it just things that you like doing that are allowed to distract you.

If you had to do all that stuff it would feel like working, and if you were going to do a full days work, you might as well be in the office ! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mrshora is shockingly bad at cleaning. I literally have to bite my tongue when shes telling her friends how she spends her day off 'cleaning'.

Cleaning what? Using wetwipes isn't cleaning love.

There is a difference I find, between actually doing a good job and appearing to do a good job.

put your headphones on and ignore her...

Sometimes when it gets to 7.30pm I go outside the house and then come back in and announce "honey, I'm home!" and then she gets the point at why I have been ignoring her.

Or if she was hassling me in the morning I will do that at lunchtime but announce "Honey, I am home for lunch!".

for me it involves entertaining our errant toddler "just for a couple of minutes" whilst she attends to something important like getting her nails done...

I work at home and have to continually remind mrs busydog that between actual work and reading posts on STW, there just isn't time enough to take on any additional tasks

It don't matter whether it;'s home or at work. My wife think I spend my time drinking cocktails and talking bullshit,

but she's wrong about the cocktails

These are my favourites.

It's like a snapshot of inevitability. I'm not married, yet, but it will probably be to this one.

Horas Missus. Innit.

There is worse, when on nights it's assumed you can still do all of those requests during the day when you are doing nothing.
