Can't do YouTube thingy, but I was happily singing along to 'The Power of Love' by Huey Lewis and the News yesterday.

I love that song 🙂

can't normally stomach country & western or Knopfler, but two wrongs make a right in this case, quite like it.

I reckon 'Would I lie to you?' by Charles & Eddie is a bit of a cracker.

And, er, I may have a 'friend' who reckons 'It's raining men' is a great piece of music too.
Obviously not me you understand, ooooooh no 😀

Dolly Parton is cool.

Interviewer " Tell me Dolly is it true that ypou have had lots of surgery?"

Dolly " Hell honey it cost a lot of money to look this cheap"

Oh, pretty much anything by Abba and the Julie Covington version of 'Don't cry for me Marge and Tina'.
No, I'm not proud.

This one? I can never make up my mind about it. Brilliant pastiche or dross? The lads on here can enjoy the nice ladies in the video I guess. Outrageously catchy

I have a terrible addiction to old skool disco. I don't think there is a cure. 🙁 I have tried hair metal, house. tehno, reggae - but nothing beasts a bit of disco

This'll take you back to your adolescence guys. Oh how fast the toilet paper was used up in those days.

The thing is, video aside, it's a really good song.

I hate folk music, I hate tartan tin nationalism. I love this. I can even sing it - and do while wandering thru the hills.

Holy mother of god that Chilli version is terrible. And not in a good way. You should be terribly ashamed Druid.

This is how you lynch a cover and make it good.

Chilli's have a lot to learn.

Erm, just what is Phil doing in that first frame of the Genesis vid posted by defydude???

As for embarrassing music, I'm proud to say that I've been irritating my wife by encouraging my daughter to join me in my love of Meat Loaf's Dead Ringer for Love.

Although Paradise by the Dashboard Light is better 😉

Weird mix on here, from the completely unlistenable (Meatloaf, Huey F**in Lewis etc.) to the really quite cool (Chic etc..)

My iPod contains 4 albums by these two artistes

I should be ashamed, but I'm not. It's POP, man.

R.E.M. loved them to bits but now in hindsight realise that everything they did from 'Out Of Time' on was a bit crap really. Currently listening to Out Of Time as my 7 year old daughter has discovered 'Shiney Happy People' thanks to Marley and Me. R.E.M. IRS years=sublime, R.E.M. Warners a bit shit even more so after Bill Berry left,
