I have to agree. It's how I remember bike shops, there are very few like it now. I can think of a couple in California, Wheelcraft near Glasgow and that's it. I cant be bothered with all the branding, fluff and fanfare that most bike shops feel is what the customers want.
I got one of those splitting hatchets, got it from Ray Mears, he was easily the cheapest in the uk when I got it. Lovely axe it is too.
