We will be in touch
I have a wireless network set up at home and its basically a router and I use it with a laptop, itouch, etc. Last night I decided I needed to amend the security and finally got around to WEP. I logged on wiuth the laptop and got the WEP keys sorted, added it to the iTouch and then added the key to the laptop itself. I have no desktop. The iTouch now works fine as it always did but the laptop wont. I set the key up remotely not via a cable.
Did I need to plug the laptop in to make it appear like a desktop/connected, then disconnect and plug in the keys to make it work again wirelessly?
Go back in with your cable and re set it, then try setting up the WEP again
in answer to your question, no but as above, use a cable to connect to reset the key and then try again. seems more likely to be a different config issue though if your itouch works.
^^^^ wonders where his ethernet cable is
Nope that didn't work. Got new key. Checked the itouch works on new key and it does. Unplugged laptop and tried to reconnect it wirelessly with newly generated key and it can't connect. Ideas?
