Any recommendations on a wireless headset that is good for listening to music and Teams calls.

Everything I've seen so far falls into:

1) Skype headsets, including the £200 Seinheiser set I got from work. Great for calls but not very good for music.

2) Or gaming headsets with surround sound. I just want nice music audio.

Any suggestions that are less than £150?

For a wireless headset with a mic you're going to be looking at gaming headsets, ignore any surround sound mentions, they're all just stereo with virtual surround as an option on some.

But, the amount of gaming headsets with good audio quality, is limited.

Corsair Virtuoso would be an option - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-High-Fidelity-Omni-Directional-Microphone-Compatibility-White/dp/B07X1XWHY1?th=1

I bought a pair of Audeze Penrose planar magnetic closed backs at £250 for my gaming needs, over budget for you though. These go along with my DT 990 pro open back headphones.

Be aware with closed back headphones you can't hear your own voice as well so may end up shouting. 😀

Other than that you're looking at a separate headphone and mic solution.

I got some of these MPOW headphones at the beginning of lockdown.

Very pleased with them. Work really well for Teams etc and everyone's voices sound warm and round.

Wireless Headphones

They are not bad for music but obviously not as good as a dedicated wired pair.

I bought some Sony WH-1000XM3 at the start of the lockdown for exactly your reasons.
Superb sound and I think you might be able to get them for around £180 if you look around

No mic.

He needs a headset (headphones and built in mic), not headphones.

Voyager Focus UC are good. Can be had for around that.

Or good headphones and a separate directional mic.

Sorry, but the Sonys do have a built in mic. I use them every day for calls on teams 🤷🏻‍♂️

Also look at Scan as they have some refurb Corsair Void Wireless headsets at a great price.

I should have said, they need to be portable. I'm in the office done days WFH, offshore others.
One of the reasons I want wireless is to avoid the tangle of wires I currently get at the start of each day when I unload my bag after bike ride in

Fair enough, there's literally no mention of that at all on sony's website. And generally they're called a headset if they have a mic.

Towards the bottom of the product page it mentions both Alexa and Google assistants and handsfree calling.

OP you could also use the equivalent wirefree in-ear jobbies by Sony too. They were on offer from a lot of places at your budget.

If you can tolerate Bluetooth earbuds then Jabra Active 65/75/85 are worth a punt.
I use them for all my teams/zoom/slack/google meet calls. They stay paired to my laptop and phone at the same time and have better call quality (send and receive) than many of the wired headsets I’ve used.

About £75 on Amazon
