I ended up ahvin to get the computer out of my office to work at home. It didnt have wifi so I bought a little netgear dongle. It keeps seeming to drop out; saying it is connected but no internet. I'm upstairs, router is downstairs. Other computer in same room but with built in wifi never has issues with wifi connection
Plug your dongle into a USB extension cable. Then can move it around to see if gets a better signal.
That or get some powerline adapters, makes things much easier.
Good call @CraigW, I put it in a USB extension and taped it a bit higher up and I've not had anything like the same amount of drop outs.
