The Guardian has a section in the sports(mondays I think) where they ask "what's rocking sport?"(or something like that). Without fail, the answers seem to involve some of the worst middle of the road tosh ie James Blunt, Trance compilations etc. I look back to my career in rugby and cringe at the thought of some of the music played on the coach. Do these people not have the ability to think for themselves and choose something a little more interesting?
maybe they have better things to do than agonise over what music makes them cool?
all music is cool to somebody. To be without it, no matter how bland or painful it sounds to others, would be unbearable for me.
I'd rather be without my bike than without music*.
* there is one exception: ABBA
what music
all music
Where does Monsieur Blunt fit into this??
Oh...
without music
could quite easily say the music you like is crap, it is called personnel preference. Some like Abba, some Mozart, if we all liked the same thing life would be boring.
not enough time smoking joints at basement dancehall nights
not enough time dabbling in dirty techno clubs
not enough time drinking and smoking in pub backrooms watchin indie bands.
too much time training. ๐
Athletes tend to be Type A personalities - all driven and in control.
I have yet to meet a person of this type who has any concept of artistic and cultural attainment.
IMHO some of the people on here like stuff worse than James Blunt if that's possible and still claim its "interesting" so what?
they spent their formative years practicing their chosen sport?
something to be said for a misspent youth
everyone's musical taste is inexplicable and crap. Except mine.
everyone's musical taste is inexplicable and crap. Except mine.
Yours is just crap (but you understand yourself)?
(but you understand yourself)?
this turns out not be necessary ๐
Except mine.
to me, obviously!
This is part of the reason I fall asleep so easily in a car, to get away from the driver's dreadful music choices ๐
