My ongoing saga with ebay and paypal continue! basically trying to set up a paypal account but it's asking me to set up a direct debit to pay JPMC, I've googled it but all the answers are old/vague....am i ok to give out bank details on a DD on this part of paypal?

Normally with me it's the other way around. For the sake of four seconds there were a lot of soggy biscuits..... no maybe not.
JPMC could be the huge US retail bank - "Chase", which has an investment bank arm called 'JP Morgan'. It's no more or less dangerous than other "universal" banks such as RBS, Barclays, HSBC etc which do the same.
No idea what JPMC is but they take money out of my bank each month too
It is JP Morgan Chase, it is used for External funding of a PayPal account from your bank. The DD is initially setup when you first verify your bank details.
