Any recommendations please on some white gloss that stays white rather than going yellow ??
Cheers

Eggshell
The only stuff I've used thats properly brilliant white - as white as emulsion, and stays that way- is two part Acid Cataylised paint. Incredible paint but, pretty rotten stuff to work with. Everything else looks creamy / yellow in comparison.
Non-drip goes yellow because of the stuff they put in it. Proper gloss stays white much longer.
the one they sell in toolstations .
10 times better than the homebase one . easier to apply and has stayed white .
Look for a water based gloss. They have a different chemistry to the old solvent based which means they should stay white for longer.
All oil based gloss, satinwood and eggshell finishes will yellow over time and more so in darker areas (behind furniture etc). Water based finishes will not yellow but are more prone to brush marks from application.
Dulux have a new product called "Quick dry trim", best water based gloss so far. All oil based paints will yellow over time.
Make sure you buy the new paint as Dulux do two other inferior versions
Well this post has come along just nicely. My job this afternoon after work was to go get some gloss.
Sadolin 10 year exterior always works well for me. Make sure you use a decent undercoat for it though.
Is that ok to use indoors though?
B&Q now sell a water-based one, which so far seems to be holding its colour, and is nice to work with.
Found Crown Solo Gloss to be ok.
Any advice for a non-yellowing satin? We used to use sikkens but it ain't what it used to be.
Dulux Trade oil based eggshell is in my opinion one of the slowest to yellow satin type finishes. However since 2010 and tightened VOC regulations all oil based white paints seem to yellow faster than they did.
Johnstones aquatech WATERBASED gloss is the best waterbased gloss ive used. Make sure its the water based and not acrylic. i would use the waterbased undercoat for it though as waterbased glosses tend not to stick without the u/c and peel. Its the closest to oil, waterbased paint ive used in looks and application.
Alot of good satins, farrow and ball little green, and again the new Dulux qd trim. Satins easy, gloss less so
Dulux Trade, used to be Dulux 2010, go to a proper trade place for it though, not B&Q or Homebase, best paint I have ever used.
