.. for creating portable VM images on which to create software configurations?
The main requirement I guess is a small simple installation. I don't want to go back to XP, but what's Windows server 2012 like? Most of the VMs I get given are Server 2008.
I appear to have quite a bit of choice on MSDN.

computers are great and I wouldn't like to live with out then, but at times the level of dullness thet spawn is quite staggering!
