This was done a few months back but I can't find the thread.

Any recommendations for a tent for two adults and a couple of kids that would survive more than just a completely still night in the middle of June?

Cheers

Haven't tried them all, but would give a strong recommendation for the Wild Country Kamsin. Really strong, can be back-packed, super-strong poles and is rated at 3-4 seasons, so will even cope with a Scottish summer...;)

Yup, that's a good plan. Could be a bit of a funny week though, as I'm starting a new job, but provisionally could do Tues/Weds.

Not really that small but I can highly reccomend this tent , it's been fantastic in all weathers including very high winds. We paid more than double what it's on fleabay for.

We have Robens Cabin 500 - lovely tent - worth it for the bronze anodised poles, IMO.

Again, not that small...but this has steel poles instead of the bendy ones.

I couldn't recommend www.breakoutdoors.co.uk enough. They have been superb, fantastic customer service and very cheap.

Ive a 5m version of that bell tent. Complete with wood burner, and I can confirm it stands up well to gale force winds. Gusts seem to just deflect around the centre pole, its remained sturdy and upright when many neigbouring tents collapsed/shredded
