Got a 200Mbps Virgin service (delivering about 220Mbps most of the time).
Getting a bit disillusioned with the Router part of the Virgin Superhub, it's not proving too reliable, so considering switching it to modem mode and using a separate wireless router.
Connections at any one time;
approx 10 devices connected via LAN (2 or 3 PC's, printer, wi-fi range extenders, some LAN switches, NAS, TV, games consoles, Hive etc)
Upto 10 wireless devices (Mobiles, Tablets, Laptops)
Looking for something with 2g/5g wi-fi, at least 4 direct LAN connections.
Budget upto £100. What would stw buy?
Probably an ASUS one myself.
But personally I'd be more interested in figuring out why the superhub isn't up to scratch - they're perfectly good routers. Though I guess that might mean having to phone up Virgin to get a replacement.
I did this a few months ago, bought a TP LInk Archer of some sort. The wifi has been 100% better since I did.
