I'd like to treat myself to some from the Prestige range (can't stretch to the top model) which are the ones to go for?

I thought you were treating yourself to some Track headphones? Changed your mind already?

I've got a set of SR60s which I modded.

Easy to do, chopped the foams and removed the film on the top. Then took apart and vented, bit more tricky but worth doing.

Got mine on eBay.

Habe a set of the original SR80 (pre I and e models). Changed the stock pads after a while to ones that are deeper and wider. Think its G cushion. Might be wrong though. Sound brilliant with most music, but handle rock really well. Demoed some 325e but decided they were not worth the extra money over the 80s. The 225e are meant to be nice though.

Good choice. They make amazing cans.

My SR80's are pretty battered these days but god damn still they sound good, easily the match for all the more expensive Sennheiser, B&W and Denon jobbies I have in the quiver.

If only they didn't leak so spectacularly, I rarely get to use them properly as they're so damn obnoxiuos to be near.

Hatter, could you recommend any that aren't too noisy?
