Thinking of buying this one, 1080p for £380... seems a good deal but wondering if I should be looking at anything else? have searched Argos, Currys, Dixons, PC world etc. Any advice??

mmm not sure about that it says 1080 in the description but the spec says otherwise.. think my original link did not work so here is another link, also being sold in high street shops for the same price

Just been through this (but on a 37" samsung), and suprisingly used Amazon in the end. Much cheaper, saved £100 on a £600 tv, and paid £8 for next morning delivery.
Had a look round the usual shops to check out what to buy and PCWorld were the only place giving a consistant feed to each TV (hence I could compare the picture properly). Currys were appaling, some used USB drives, some had HDMI feeds, some were a shared aerial feed, so beware of this!
I did notice comet had really bad feeds so looking at quality in store was not good, i think samsung always get good reviews just want to check it is the best for my cash, i have £400 available... So far I have found the Samsung
Toshiba
LG
At 32" IMHO you won't see any advantage in having 1080P at normal viewing distances. If you can accomodate a bigger screen, I'd go for a bigger HD Ready panel.
32" is the max I can go, my space is near a door and fireplace so no option to go bigger ....... I do agree 1080 at 7ft distance wont do much but it will also be used for the odd gaming, tbh others under £400 they all seem to be a bit similar, but the samsung gets very good reviews, was just wondering if it was the best 32" for my cash.... There dont seem to be any in store offers which is a shame! I have Comet, PC World, Maplins, Argos, John Lewis and Tesco home stores near me.
