how heavy weight do you want it exactly and what sort of paper are you looking for, gloss,silk etc?

For good quality you need to be looking to a specialist digital printer.

Probably looking at around the £65 mark for that though.

160gsm and probably in the next few weeks - matte finish - for a wedding service booklet

160 gsm is pretty chunky, my regular office type laser (brother 9020CDW) will handle it in manual feed but not through the regular feed tray. If you could drop to 120gsm it would still feel stiffer than regular copy paper but you'd have a better chance of getting a mate to run it through their office machine for a few beers.

hmm good plan, we have a good printer here and could use it BUT the colour sometimes looks shitty with roller marks thru it 🙁

If you don't have the design showing blocks of solid colour, they are less likely to show. Think scrollwork and line drawings rather than background fills.

Its a photo on the front 40mm square and a border round the edge

Just call a few local printers. Most have digital kit in-house now and this is an easy job. You may get it for £25 if you offer cash and can send print-ready PDF.
