I've got a couple of LED based projects on the go right now: adding headlights and interior lighting to a little tikes car, and making an LED nightlight for the baby room.

I think for the night light, it needs to have quite a lot of clever, so I'm going to build my own LED driver based around an arduino, but I'll need a driver for the car interior light. I'll also need some LEDs mounted on circuit boards. It doesn't need to be anything clever, just something that will run an LED off a couple of AA batteries.

So I need:
some Cree XPG or similar LEDs
a simple 2 AA driver circuit for them.
Possibly some lenses

Last time I did much of this stuff I was in New Zealand, so I bought a bunch of stuff from Cutter in Australia. I've also had stuff off deal-extreme but surely there must be somewhere closer that sells all these things nowadays?
