A family member has done something pretty bad IMO - not illegal but dishonest and treacherous. He is a good mate as well as a relative but I can't see him that way any more he's not the person I thought he was.

I don't want to be judgemental but what's the best way to move on from this?

Dishonest and treacherous? In broad terms, how so?

Hard to tell without detail. This could be anything from an affair to taking up morris dancing....

nobbing someone else isnt treacherous. Unless he's doing it on top of a cliff with no safety net.

I find minding my own business is often the right path to take

Some kind of clue needed really. Which is it closest to?

(rated worst to not so bad)

1. Buying a Bike off Ebay
2. Taking up Morris Dancing
3. Sleeping with someone he shouldn't have (not someone ugly, I mean having an affair).
4. Owning a unicycle
5. Sleeping with someone he shouldn't have (someone ugly this time).
6. Selling the Big Issue whilst wearing decent trainers

Just move on and don't be judgemental.

Unless he really is treacherous.

Or lecherous.

If someone breaks your trust and it's your number one value in friendship then
Do what suits you.

If its mild then talk it over.

If it's really stw serious then avoid him-he'll get the message you are
Not wanting his company any more.

If he f' your wife - cut his f'ing head off.

Or break ways, stay busy and move on.

If it's someone you care about, and it's "out of character" then perhaps you could try to understand his motives. Things might look very different from where he stands. Does he appreciate how it looks to other people? Does he want to "make amends" in any way?

That doesn't mean forgiving or forgetting, just understanding why it happened.

Is this possibly the most pointless thread ever? But given I have no facts I guess I would overreact then punch him in the face and bang his wife

Eh? How difficult can that be?

Straight to the point and tell him to get out of your life as you do not wish to be associated with him anymore. The end.

If he wants to know why just tell him to jack himself off.

🙄
