Does anybody have a decent bodge repair for pin-gouged soles?
Or failing that know anyone who can resole a shoe with something that will grip a flat pedal?
Ta.
Watching with interest
Feet first chesterfield can resole with genuine 5:10 soles.
Soles are consumables unfortunately, live with it as long as you can, then resole as above.
It seems once they start to go they're soon gone. Uppers still minty.
Will give Feet First a look unless somebody shares some epoxy wizardry.
Are you talking about individual gouges, or general wear and tear over time?
E6000 is amazing stuff, it's basically super shoe goo and I'm pretty sure you could just cast a shoe sole out of it if you were so inclined. I've repaired some very damaged shoes this way in the past, though, it does take a long time to set if you use a lot. And you can buy Five Ten soling kits which are basically stealth rubber dust, and shoe goo, which yo ucould put a new sticky face on with.
But I've never had a Five Ten die sole first, the uppers always fall to bits long before that happens, like a continental tyre.
These are non-descript flats, not 510 sponges. I'm getting train track gouges at the ball of the foot, rest of the sole is fine. That there E6000 has potential, thanks.
