[Closed] What's the most sexist line in any popular song

Was just listening to Johnny and Mary by Robert Palmer with the line " Mary says he changes his mind more than a woman " and it got me thinking . I'm sure there are much worse examples than that out there , let's see who has the best .

Was listening to Nick Lowes "All men are liars" on 6music this morning and thought it pretty sexist.

Crikey, what a coincidence. I was just watching Robert Palmer with the UB40 horn section on youtube. Well it's better than gnarly mountain bike videos.

I may have missed the point but the whole of 'the show' by girls aloud seems to be a warning that you'll get dumped by your boyfriend if you don't make an effort.

Destiny's Child - Independent Women.

Most of it.

To summarise the central tenet of the piece:

My identity as woman is defined by me making lots of money and buying shit with it.

Albeit Bouncy has a credit, written and produced by men, btw.

Perhaps you could use this song and video in your defence?

Do you want more?
They also said pretty much not exclusively
Its fair to call IMHO

Plenty of great rap plenty of shitty racist homophobic sexist gansta praising rap [ much more so than other styles IMHO] as well.

Your'e obviously aiming your comments at me Junkyard, but again "MOST rap" - you and the other poster don't know "MOST rap". I don't know most rap - most of the rap I KNOW isn't sexist. Most of the rap YOU KNOW mught be sexist, but that doesn't make MOST RAP sexist.
Thread asked for examples of songs, not to display your lack of knowledge about music.
Cheers.

Move Bitch - Ludacris:

...
Young and successful - a sex symbol
The bitches want me to **** 'em - true, true
Hold up, wait up, shorty
Oh what's up, getting my dick sucked, what are you doing
Sidelining my ****in' business
Trying to get my paper, child support suing
Give me that truck and take that rental back
Who bought these ****ing TV's and jewelry bitch, tell me that
No, I ain't bitter, I don't give a ****
But I'mma tell you like this bitch
You better not walk in front of my tour bus

Wishin' and hopin' and thinkin' and prayin'
Plannin' and dreamin' each night of his charms
That won't get you into his arms

So if you're lookin' to find love you can share
All you gotta do is
Hold him and kiss him and love him
And show him that you care

Show him that you care just for him
Do the things he likes to do
Wear your hair just for him, 'cause
You won't get him
Thinkin' and a-prayin'
Wishin' and hopin'

Just wishin' and hopin' and thinkin' and prayin'
Plannin' and dreamin' his kiss is the start
That won't get you into his heart

So if you're thinkin' how great true love is
All you gotta do is
Hold him and kiss him and squeeze him and love him
Yeah, just do it and after you do, you will be his

(You gotta)
Show him that you care just for him
Do the things he likes to do
Wear your hair just for him, 'cause
You won't get him
Thinkin' and a-prayin'
Wishin' and hopin'

Just wishin' and hopin' and thinkin' and prayin'
Plannin' and dreamin' his kiss is the start
That won't get you into his heart

So if you're thinkin' how great true love is
All you gotta do is
Hold him and kiss him and squeeze him and love him
Yeah, just do it and after you do, you will be his
You will be his, you will be his

To be a serious person for a mo, there's a song comes on local radio a lot that seems to be all about taking ng"my girl"l away from me. I keep wiondering how the womenfolk have allowed this to stand. I also hate the usage of "females" - how is reducing women to a sexed object different to "bird"? Yesterday I walked past berkertex bride in brum - I had no idea that was a real chain in the 70s, let alone now! Could someone please link berkertex bribe by crass, jump mama jump by poison girls, and anything by the au pairs please - phones are awful subbies

*edit* I like boobs and moderation! This wasn't a po-faced rant, just a whine

"Shes's bad, no body is badder, but shes got more crabs than a seafood platter." Eazy E.

And the original sample for smack my bitchup is taken from Ultramagnetic MCs and it says "Smack my bitch up like a pimp" so despite any protestations the Prodigy made that its not related to beating women I think it might just be after all...

Still think Blurred lines is about the worst example of recent times. Quite rapey really.

"Stay With Me" by The Faces. In it's entirety.

In the morning
Don't say you love me
Cause I'll only kick you out of the door

I know your name is Rita
Cause your perfum smelling sweeter
Since when I saw you down on the floor
guitar

Won't need to much pursuading
I don't mean to sound degrading
But with a face like that
You got nothing to laugh about

Red lips hair and fingernails
I hear your a mean old jezabel
Lets go up stairs and read my tarot cards

Stay with me
Stay with me
For tonight you better stay with me

Stay with me
Stay with me
For tonight you better stay with me

So in the morning
Please don't say you love me
Cause you know I'll only kick you out the door

Yea I'll pay your cab fare home
You can even use my best colonge
Just don't be here in the morning when I wake up

Stay with me
Stay with me
Cause tonight you better stay with me
Sit down, get up, get down

Stay with me
Stay with me
Cause tonight your going stay with me
Hey, whats your name again
oh no, get down, wooo

Ben Folds mounting a surprisingly strong challenge there with the Dre cover!

I came here to post "In the Summertime", I see it's already been done.

Some amazing lines there. My mother used to love it, until she heard me singing the lyrics she'd not figured-out

"If her daddy's rich take her out for a meal
If her daddy's poor just do what you feel" etc etc.

Bonus points are also awarded to Jerry for slipping this in:
"Have a drink, have a drive
Go out and see what you can find"

😯 It's pretty unbelieveable really!

Oh - I'm pretty sure Silibil n Brainz produced some good material in that area too.

RHCP hit a bit of a home run with "Sir Psycho Sexy" although I'd just say Filthy, rather than sexist. Depends how you read it:

"I got stopped by a lady cop in my automobile
She said, "Get out and spread your legs"
And then she tried to cop a feel
That cop she was all dressed in blue
Was she pretty? Boy I'm tellin' you

She stuck my butt with her big black stick
I said, "What's up? Now suck my *"
Like a ram getting ready to jam the lamb
She whimpered just a little when she felt my hand"

To be fair to our Antoine, it is a bit more even-handed when read in it's entirety.

Catholic Schoolgirls rule and Special Secret Song Inside/I Wanna Party on your P* Baby" are fairly similar, but I think the Chili's real motivation was testosterone, drugs and an over-active imagination.

I've seen ben folds play that live a few times (I know. I like some cool stuff as well.) He's introduced it by saying how he wanted bring out the underlying sadness of Dre splitting up with his partner. This is undermined somewhat by the glee with which he belts it out with the audience taking up the chorus...

...a glee which I see mirrored in this thread. Don't tell me that much of the above hasn't been typed (ok pasted) with smile on face? It's dodgy territory.

Anyway, Snoop Dogg's "Control your ho", one of his mid-period gardening raps I think, is pretty hard to listen to. "Look what you made me do, I didn't want to lay hands on you..." It's half ironic, but which half?

AC/DC "Ain't No Fun Waiting Round To Be A Millionaire"

"But I've got a Mumma who's a hummer
Just keeping me alive
While I'm in the band doing drinking with the boys

She knows her place that woman"

Just wouldn't get away with that on X factor.
