I hate getting presents, they are almost always useless and over priced and unecessary, and sit around annoying me until its been long enough I can throw them out.

If I need something I can buy it myself.

Bah humbug

Harry, I got one of them stashed in my man drawer, If you drop me a PM with your address, you can have it. I got it last year as a secret santa prezzy from a colleague and I've never got round to building it.

EDIT Might not be 1:32 it could be smaller but I'll check tonight!

This is an increasing "problem" we've noticed. We want to get the whole extended family round to the idea of getting nice little presents without seeming like killjoys or skinflints.

I'd much rather receive a small gift like, dare I say it, socks or a tie than something expensive that isn't what I want/need.

Dont get me wrong, GIVING presents is all fine and dandy - if I could just ever work out what anyone flippin' well would like and I also hate buying all that xmas/commercial rubbish.

Oh, double bah humbug.

(edit: I do like receiving these Why is Santa red? Because of bloody coca-cola

Batman Arkham City
er...
Dark Souls if I haven't bought it already.

That's about all - I'm getting to the point where presents are just a bonus, really. Admittedly sometimes more of a "dog turd in an envelope" bonus, but a bonus nonetheless...

Lego Technic Unimog. In fact it's in my car right now. Can't wait to build it with my lad over Christmas.

Nothing at the moment, I'm at the point where I think I've got all the cycling/outdoorsy bits and bobs I need or would actually ever use. The things still on my wishlist are too expensive for presents, and I'm not into in presents just for their own sake- think my family are largely coming round to the idea that there's no point spending money and resources on things people don't really want or need just because it's Christmas.

Nothing myself either. It would normally be some kind of winter mountain gear, but I bought it all this summer for an Alps trip, so I have everything I could possibly want.

I'd be happy with a bottle of nice whisky and a selection box.

binners - make it look cheap by asking for something more. Ask for a Nicolai Helius AM with full XX and you'll bound to get the cheaper Transition.

Yeah, but he fixes your presents as long as you're a good little boy when you sit on his lap.
