there was a major fire in a warehouse in town on friday night. i am absolutly fasinated by it mainly as i passed there about an hour before it went up (no i wasnt smoking at the time either) but went home and missed all the action.in a childish way it seems it would be really exciting and cool to have been involved in fighting the blaze, but im sure being a fireman has other sides.you must get to see some really upsetting stuff to? how do they deal with car crashes etc?
i chatted to an ambulance guy years ago and rather than playing the non stop hero he painted a picture of a lot of frustration and time wasting idiots/junkies etc violent people etc etc.did tell me some very funny stuff too
just wondered if it was simular or different?
bruceneep ... to the forum please ...
Awaiting answer.
Always fancy being a fireman..

Interviewed a fire chief a while ago, predicted big changes as there just aren't many fires anymore!..reckoned that it's more PR stuff these days!
The smoke alarm campaigns, drop in numbers smoking and decline in chip-pan use have all contributed to fewer house fires
Being a fire fighter? I could well imagine it has its up and downs.
Mick with the funny symbol in his name, lol's a lot is one of them I seem to remember.
He's a happy guy with nice bikes, sounds like it's all good so far.
