as above folks, is either of them any better than the other, or are they very similar in performance?

quite similar - I use the Grangers 30 degree plus a tumble dry as it was on offer but have had good results from Nikwax too.

Both much-of-a-muchness. I just use whichever the shop's got cheapest.
